Assignment 1a

1. What is your first name only (NOT last name): Dana
2. Why are you taking this class and what do you hope to learn
I am currently completing my last class for my bachelors degree. I look forward to this class because I love to learn about arts, humanities and tap into my creativity. I love to learn and challenge myself to think outside the box. I love intellectual debates and creative learning.
3. How far do you live from SRJC main campus 18.88 miles
4. What do you think of when you think "California"? I was born and raised in California. I love the diversity, the beach, the weather, and the different cultures that come to find freedom in this beautiful state. Does this differ from what non-Californians think and if so, how? It's funny when I talk to people who are not from California, they say they are fearful of earthquakes and that it is an expensive place to live. However, they do say that they love San Francisco or want to visit there.
5. Have you created a blog or webpage in the past? No, but I am enjoying this process. It's very easy so far.
6. Regarding computers, are you on a mac or a pc? I use a pc
7. What was your January 20th, 2009 like, or what do you remember of this day? INCREDIBLE!! Did I say that loudly...It was a great day in history. I went in to work and our supervisor allowed us to watch the inauguration. I cried, I rejoiced and for the first time in my lifetime I felt hope for our country! I talked about it with my 7 year old and he said that they voted in his class and that he voted for Barak Obama! January 2oth was a day of hope and inspiration.
